Bath wastes, along with taps, can prove the elegant finishing touch to your bathroom you’ve been aiming for. When we talk about bath wastes we’re referring to the plug, plug hole and the overflow pipe itself.
We’re sure you won’t be surprised to learn that, like taps, bath wastes come in a whole range of styles, sizes and finishes. For instance, there are wastes specially suited to fit doubled ended baths while others will fit only single ended baths. Then there are wastes for corner baths and whirlpool tubs, as well as extended wastes for freestanding baths. The majority of our high quality waste systems here at Bathroom Supastore are chrome finished to add extra sheen and that easy-to-clean element to your bathroom.
Different forms of waste systems to suit different baths
You can choose from traditional plug and chain period styles or the more popular and contemporary click clack or pop up waste systems, while buying a combined bath filler and waste is the more common option nowadays.
The traditional plug and chain system works with baths which have two tap holes – for hot and cold. Push button wastes, on the other hand, are form more contemporary models of bath and consist of a single button while you push to fill and then drain.
Pop up bath wastes work when a lever is pushed down, causing the plug to rise. An exposed bath waste, which is designed for a traditional freestanding bath, comes with a plug and chain or, more recently, a click clack or pop up waste. In this scenario the waste pipe is outside the bath, hiding the overflow pipe joining the waste. It’s put together in a very stylish manner, in keeping with the bath’s elegance.
