There are plenty of bath mixers around today to choose from so that you are more or less guaranteed to find a style that will perfectly chime with your existing bathroom, or the new bathroom furniture/suite you’ve just ordered.
A range of styles and sizes to choose from
For instance, if you’ve opted for a Victorian, Mid-century or Art Deco style suite then you’ll want a more traditional style of bath mixer – one with screw taps, for instance, and very similar in appearance to the Tavistock Cheltenham range, the Cameo design or the Hudson Reed Tec Crosshead bath mixer taps.
On the other hand, if your bathroom has more of a contemporary feel then you would be advised to opt for a design such as the Giara – a geometric, lever-operated tap system or the cylindrical Tavistock Cruz and Lift ranges.
Regardless of their design style, all mixer taps work by combining the water from the two taps safely into the one spout so that it’s easy to mix hot and cold to get a temperature you like without the possibility of scolding yourself.
All of the taps we stock here at Bathroom Supastore are high-quality and chrome finished, making them easy to wipe clean and ensuring they don’t rust over time. In fact, the Hudson Reed designs have a guarantee for up to 20 years while others offer a still-impressive standard 10 year warranty on materials and craftsmanship.
Always check the water pressure beforehand
It’s a good idea to check the water pressure your home has before buying your bath mixers because if the water pressure is too low it will affect how well they work. On the whole though it tends to be shower mixer taps – rather than bath mixer taps - that require the highest water pressure.
