The basin is an integral element of your bathroom design and should chime with the rest of the furniture and style of your chosen bathroom suite. Fortunately today this is pretty easy to achieve, thanks to the huge variety of bathroom sinks on the market. From corner basins for small bathrooms such as en-suite and cloakroom versions to larger china sinks for the more traditional Victorian, Edwardian or Art Deco bathroom and the large, luxury contemporary equivalent, there really is a basin to suit just about every size and style of bathroom.
Different basin styles to choose from
Our basins range in size from 470mm x 300mm for the smaller cloakroom, all the way up to 595mm x 470mm for the traditional bathroom or a similar size in a more updated design for the luxury spa bathroom. Some bathroom sinks are available with two holes while others – the more contemporary basin design - are suitable for a single mixer tap.
The majority of basins are aimed at newer style bathrooms such as the wall hung bathroom suite or countertop sinks. Traditional basins still have their place too though. The latter tend to come with a full pedestal for elegance while other sinks, aimed more at space-saving compromises, are semi-pedestal. You’ll find that semi-recessed sinks, which hang over the countertop in order to create more storage space, are far more suited to smaller bathrooms.
Make-up of bathroom basins
We’re pleased to say that each and every bathroom basin here at Bathroom Supastore is of an extremely high-quality. Some of the basins, especially those designed to sit in a traditional bathroom, are produced from vitreous china, while others are ceramic-based. No doubt you will probably already recognise some of the popular leading brands we stock online, such as Tavistock, Premier and Orion.
