The heat retaining qualities of the bath have been achieved by painting a special insulating coat on the base of the bath. Meanwhile treatment and strengthening to the actual 4mm thick acrylic shell gives the bath the toughness of cast iron (but at the same time offering the comfort of warm and softer acrylic).
